DCC Announces 2004 Grant Program, Continues Unwavering Commitment to Homeland Security
- Grant Recipients to Gain 24/7 Access to Industry-Leading Emergency Notification Technology -
Franklin, Tennessee– Dialogic Communications Corporation (DCC) – the global leader in critical communications – will significantly strengthen three first-responder organizations’ homeland security plans this year through the company’s 2004 Homeland Security Grant program.
DCC will award its new web-enabled emergency notification solutions, Communicator!NXT and GeoCast Web, completely free of charge, to three grant winners. The 2004 grant program is open to all city and county fire, law enforcement and emergency management agencies operating in the United States , including colleges and universities. The deadline for application submissions is August 13, 2004 .

Our grant program gives us an opportunity to help organizations who need our services, ultimately improving their ability to serve their communities.”
Communicator!NXT, DCC’s most advanced notification product to date, enables organizations to rapidly communicate with thousands of individuals, automatically deliver event-specific information or instruction, and easily collect the feedback necessary for timely and appropriate response. GeoCast Web, the company’s latest GIS (Geographic Information System)-driven community notification solution, allows organizations to send map-driven messages to targeted geographic areas. Both Communicator!NXT and GeoCast Web are accessible from anywhere in the world via the Internet.

Applicants must demonstrate the need for DCC’s emergency notification technology, and the ability to use the solutions to their fullest potential. DCC is interested in applications that stress strategic integration of DCC’s emergency communications technology into their organizations’ current and future homeland security programs.
A committee made up of four representatives from first responder organizations; DCC’s director of homeland security and public safety; and an unaffiliated grant consultant will select the three grant recipients.
DCC’s grant program was established in 2001, and modified and expanded in 2002 to focus specifically on homeland security. In 2002, DCC awarded its signature notification solution, The Communicator!, to Mutchen (NJ) Police Department and Union County (NC) Sheriff’s Department.
