Medina County Sheriff’s Office and Emergency Management Fortifies Communications Capabilities, Adds Automated Notification System

- DCC to Provide Sheriff’s Office with Sophisticated Communication and Mapping Technology -

Medina, Ohio Medina County Sheriff’s Office (Ohio) and Emergency Management through a partnership has chosen DCC (Dialogic Communications Corporation) as their emergency notification provider, according to Buck Adams, director of Medina County Emergency Management Agency.

DCC is the global leader in critical communications technology, and will install its industry-leading solutions, The Communicator! and GeoCast, later this year. The company’s technology will be incorporated into the Medina County emergency response system which includes the cities of Medina, Brunswick, Wadsworth and portions of Rittman.

Medina County Sheriff’s Office will utilize The Communicator! toautomate manual notification processes, alerting key audiences through all available communications media (e.g., phone, pager, email, etc.). The system delivers incident-specific information and/or potentially life-saving instruction to an unlimited number of contacts within a matter of seconds, ensuring rapid, accurate communication for virtually any public safety threat.

GeoCast , DCC’s mapping software, works in conjunction with The Communicator!, enabling public safety organizations to selectively target and notify individuals, based on location, regarding an emergency situation.
