Carolinas HealthCare System to Utilize DCC’s Industry Leading Notification Technology

- New Software Helps Nation’s 4th Largest Non-Profit Hospital System Expedite Communication During Routine and Urgent Situations -

Charlotte, North Carolina Carolinas HealthCare System (CHS) – the largest non-profit hospital system in the Carolinas and the fourth largest in America – has selected DCC (Dialogic Communications Corporation) to provide the company with a state-of-the-art automated notification system.

DCC, the global leader in critical communications technology, will install its flagship product, The Communicator!, later this year. CHS will utilize the new system to communicate quickly and accurately with key audiences during routine and urgent situations.

The Communicator! is advanced notification software that can be operated from a single PC. Once installed, CHS will have the ability to contact hundreds, or even thousands, of individuals within minutes, delivering critical information by phone, pager, fax or email with unprecedented speed, precision and reliability.

“Carolinas HealthCare System is one of the most elite healthcare organizations in the entire country and we are extremely excited to begin working with them,” said Gene Kirby, president of DCC. “With CHS home to approximately 23,000 employees, we think our technology is a perfect fit. The Communicator! will significantly expand their communication capabilities, creating a loop that keeps their entire organization on the same page.”

The notification system can be used for a variety of applications, from routine to emergency, including: volunteer staffing, physician locating, supplemental staffing, epidemic alerts, mass casualty incidents, missing patient issues, health alert network updates and terrorist threats.

From disaster preparedness to public health threats to facility staffing, today's healthcare operations face new challenges for quickly dispersing information to employees, first responders and communities.  DCC offers an array of on- and off-site emergency notification solutions that automate urgent and day-to-day communications in the healthcare environment.  Progressive hospitals, EMS departments and public health facilities nationwide look to DCC and its proven critical communications technology for fast, accurate notification in times of crisis and during routine situations.
