When a nearby parish reported a rash of burglaries, Iberville Parish, Louisiana , used The Communicator! to warn local residents of the impending threat. The thieves were posing as a pest control company working to rid the area of mosquito infestation. By luring homeowners outside to walk their property lines, the assailants were able to raid homes and steal valuable possessions. With The Communicator! advising local residents to be on guard, the scam was stopped in its tracks. |
The City of Upper Arlington (OH) currently has over 100 homebound and elderly residents signed up to receive wellness check phone calls from The Communicator!. The C.A.R.E. program has been so well received that other area towns are asking to take part in the wellness check initiative. |

Texas's Corpus Christi Police Department utilized the system to warn local residents immediately following a drive-by shooting. In the event of a specific threat, Missouri's Town and Country Police Department uses their emergency notification system to alert 53 law enforcement agencies in the city of St. Louis and four surrounding counties. CORPORATE:
Businesses, both large and small, are using emergency notification to automate communications on a day-to-day basis and, most importantly, in times of crisis. When tragedy befell the country on 9/11, over 100,000 notifications from Wall Street companies were sent through DCC's hosting center. Since then, both public and private organizations have recognized the need for rapid response capabilities when disaster strikes.
This realization was reinforced during the largest blackout in the country's history when more than 100,000 calls were made once more through the company's facility. Notifications sent through various communication devices gave instructions to top management on implementation of contingency plans, instructions for employees on returning to work and public safety announcements, keeping everyone alert and informed of the situation-at-hand. |
